My name is Jonathan. I am originally from Mount Airy, North Carolina (Mayberry). I now live in Maryland. I work in property maintenance, and I am studying to be an electrician. But more importantly, I am a Christian. I was saved at the age of eighteen at a small Baptist church back in North Carolina. I would like to say that I have lived for God ever since that day. But, the truth is that I lived for myself for many years. I thought I was happy living the life I was living. I tried to convince myself I was. I wasn’t. I never felt any true joy or peace.

God started dealing with me recently. I was lying awake late one night, and I suddenly had an urge to read the Bible and pray. I hadn’t read the Bible or prayed in a long time. But that night, and every day since, I have. I am convinced that God was telling me to turn back to him. I did. Now, I feel the joy and peace that the world promises but never delivers.

I appreciate you taking the time to check out my blog. I will be posting at least once a week, maybe more as I go forward. I hope that something you read here will touch you, and affect you in a positive way. It is my desire that whatever I post will point you to God.
